Refund & Cancellation Policy
How deposits, salon subscriptions, the Braider Pro plan, shift payments and payouts work — and how to ask for a refund.

Operator action needed
These policies describe how the app actually works, but some business details have not been configured yet and are marked “not yet configured” below. The operator must supply them in the admin dashboard before relying on this page: Legal business name, Legal & privacy contact email, Business address, Governing law / jurisdiction.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how cancellations, deposits, subscriptions, shift payments and payouts work on Braid Shift, and how to ask for a refund if you think you are entitled to one. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
2. Booking deposits paid by clients
- A deposit confirms your appointment. The salon sets the deposit amount and it is shown to you before you pay.
- Deposits are generally non-refundable once paid. If you cancel, cancel late, or do not attend, the deposit is kept by the salon in compensation for the time it reserved — the salon may still have been able to work with another client in that slot, and the deposit is the protection against that loss.
- If the salon cancels your appointment, or if the salon does not provide the service you booked, you can request a refund through the Contact & Legal Requests page. We review these requests and, where a refund is appropriate, process it through our payment provider. We may also ask the salon for its side before deciding.
- Where a refund is required by the consumer law that applies to you, we will honour it regardless of the general rule above.
- Refunds are sent back to the original payment method. Once a refund is issued, the time it takes to appear is controlled by the payment provider and your bank, and we cannot speed that up.
3. Salon subscriptions
- Salon plans are billed in advance and renew automatically each month or year until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from the Subscription or Payments area of your salon account. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access to the paid features until the end of the period you already paid for, after which posting shifts requires an active plan again.
- We do not refund the period that is already running, and we do not refund part-months. If you cancel shortly after a renewal, your access continues to the end of the paid period.
- If you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after you cancelled, contact us — we will check the payment records and correct it.
- If we remove a paid feature or make a material change to your plan, we will tell you in the app.
4. Braider Pro plan
The optional Braider Pro plan follows the same rules as salon subscriptions: it renews automatically until cancelled, cancelling stops future renewals, access continues to the end of the period paid, and the running period is not refunded. Contact us about any charge you believe is an error.
5. Shift payments and payouts
- A salon pays a braider through the Service after the shift is completed, and the platform commission is deducted from that payment.
- If a shift is not completed, is cancelled before it starts, or the work is disputed, the salon should tell us rather than pay; we will look at the shift, the messages and the application records before any payment is settled.
- If you disagree with a payment, contact us before leaving a review or starting a dispute with your bank. We can look at the records for the shift and explain what happened.
- We may hold, delay or reverse a payment or payout while we investigate a dispute, a report of fraud, a chargeback, or a safety concern — including after money has appeared in your balance. Amounts shown in your balance are amounts owed for completed work, not a bank deposit.
- Payout requests are reviewed by a person before funds are sent. We cannot recover funds sent to bank details you entered incorrectly, so check your account details before requesting a payout.
6. How to request a refund or credit
- Use the Contact & Legal Requests page and choose the refund reason, or email not yet configured.
- Include your account email, the service or shift involved, the date, the amount, and what happened.
- We aim to acknowledge requests within a few business days and to give you a decision as soon as we have the information we need.
- Where we approve a refund, we process it through the payment provider against the original transaction.
7. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact us first so we can look at the transaction with you. If a payment is reversed through your bank or card issuer instead, we may be charged a dispute fee, your access may be suspended while the dispute is resolved, and we may ask the payment provider to review it. We cooperate fully with the payment provider in those processes.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. The current version applies to transactions made after it takes effect. Effective not yet configured.
