What Braid Shift does and does not provide, what we do not verify, and what you are responsible for checking yourself.

These policies describe how the app actually works, but some business details have not been configured yet and are marked “not yet configured” below. The operator must supply them in the admin dashboard before relying on this page: Legal business name, Legal & privacy contact email, Business address, Governing law / jurisdiction.
Braid Shift is a marketplace and scheduling tool. It helps independent braiders, salon owners and clients find each other, agree on work or appointments, and handle payments connected to that.
We are not a salon, a staffing or employment agency, or a professional adviser. We do not provide hair or beauty services, and we do not supervise or control how work is performed. Any arrangement for services is between the users involved.
Information in the app — including help pages, FAQs, pricing examples, earnings figures, availability suggestions, tax prompts and policy pages — is general information about how to use the Service. It is not legal, tax, accounting, insurance, licensing, medical or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation.
We do not screen users. We do not run criminal background checks, and we do not verify licences, certifications, insurance, salon permits, health and safety compliance, or the accuracy of what a user states about their experience.
A "verified" mark, a rating or a completed-shift count reflects only the specific checks or activity described where it appears. It is not an endorsement, a guarantee of quality, or a statement that someone is safe, licensed or insured.
You are responsible for verifying the identity, qualifications, licensing, insurance and suitability of anyone you work with, and for complying with the rules that apply to your own work and premises.
Work arranged through the app involves meeting people in person and can involve chemicals, heat tools and close physical contact. Meet in professional settings, tell someone where you are, and use your own judgement about every arrangement you make.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Report safety concerns to us through the in-app report control or the Contact & Legal Requests page so we can review the account.
We do not guarantee that a salon will find a braider, that a braider will find shifts, that a client will find an appointment or attend, that any particular amount of income will be earned, or that a payment will be recovered. Examples and estimates in the app, including payout timing, are illustrative and are not promises.
We are not a bank or a money transmitter. Balances shown in the app are records of amounts owed to you for completed work, are not deposit accounts, earn no interest, and may be adjusted if a transaction is refunded, reversed or disputed.
Payout requests are reviewed before funds are sent. Payout timing depends on our review and on the banking system, and is not guaranteed.
Profiles, posts, listings, reviews and messages are created by users, and we do not verify or endorse them. Reviews and ratings are opinions and may be inaccurate or unfair.
The app loads maps, images and fonts from third-party providers, and may link to sites we do not control. Their terms and privacy practices apply, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
This disclaimer does not replace or extend the disclaimers, limitations of liability and indemnification in the Terms of Service, which apply together with this page. Read the Terms for the full allocation of risk, including the limitation of our aggregate liability.
